BlackBerry Shortcut Part II (Browser and Typing)

Here are tips and shortcuts when you are typing text messages, email, bbm etc. - other BlackBerry SmartPhone:

1. To insert a period, press the Space key twice. The next letter is capitalized.
2. To capitalize a letter, hold the letter key until the capitalized letter appears.
3. Alt + Left Shift - NUM Lock.
4. Alt + Right Shift - CAPS Lock.
5. To turn off NUM lock or CAP lock, press the Shift key.
6. To insert an at sign (@) or a period (.) In the email address field, press the Space key.
7. To highlight a line of text, press the Shift key and roll the trackball.
8. To highlight text character by character, hold the Shift key and slide your finger left or right.

1. To cancel a text selection, press the Escape key.
2. To cut highlighted text when typing, press the Shift + Backspace / Delete.
3. To copy highlighted text when typing, press the Alt key and click the trackball.
4. To paste highlighted text when typing, press the Shift key and click the trackball.
5. Move the cursor to a different direction - press the Alt key and roll the trackwheel

1. To insert a period in the Go To dialog box, press the Space key.
2. To insert a slash mark (/) in the Go To dialog box, press Shift + Space.
3. To open the browser options, in the browser, press O.
4. To stop loading a web page, press the Escape key.
5. To hide the browser, press D.
6. To close the browser, hold the Escape key.
7. To view the address for a link, highlight a link. press L.
8. To move forward a screen, press the Shift key and the Space key.
9. To move to the previous screen, press the Space key.
10. G - Move to a specific page.
11. H - Return to the home page.
12. K - Open bookmarks.
13. A - Add bookmarks.
14. I - View web pages recently.
15. R - Refresh the page.
16. P - View page address.
17. S - Save web pages.
18. U - Hide browser banner.
19. X - View a thumbnail version of the page.
20. T - Move to the top of the page.
21. B - Move to the bottom of the page
